How to Remove Acrylic Nails Quickly and Safely
Trimming with Nail Clippers
Start by trimming your acrylic nails close to your natural nails using nail clippers. This will make it easier to dissolve the remaining acrylic with acetone.
Soaking in Acetone
Next, soak your nails in pure acetone. You can do this by saturating cotton balls in acetone and placing them on your nails. Wrap your nails with foil or plastic wrap to keep the acetone from evaporating. Leave the acetone on for 15-20 minutes.
The acetone will dissolve the acrylic, making it soft and easy to remove. Use a cuticle pusher or orange stick to gently scrape off the softened acrylic. Be careful not to damage your natural nails.
Filing and Buffing
Once the acrylic is removed, file and buff your natural nails to smooth out any rough edges. You can use a nail file to shape your nails and a buffer to smooth them out.
